Tupaia's history in NZ
Tupaia, a polynesian who used the stars to navigate his journey, assisted Captain Cook in their voyage to New Zealand and many other countries. Tupaia was skilled in many ways such as being an artist,tattooist, and even fluent in many Pasifika languages, and also learnt English while travelling on the Endeavour. Tupaia has not been credited for his help in finding New Zealand, and other countries with Captain Cook. Learning about Tupaia is a very important key part in Nz's history.
